While seniors can be a blast to photograph, they aren't an easy niche to master. Successful Senior Photographers are always working on their craft to stay on top of the ever-changing Senior market. This means always learning new techniques, styles, posing, fashion trends, lighting, social media hacks, etc.

✔️ THEIR NEEDS AND WANTS ALWAYS ARE CHANGING ALONG WITH THE TRENDS

It's very difficult to stay up with those trends and can be extremely time-consuming.

✔️ THEY ARE USED TO TAKING "SELFIES" THAT GENERATE TONS OF LIKES

Today's Seniors don't know life without a camera in their pocket. Always having a camera to capture every moment, they are conditioned to know what a good photo looks like and how to edit or apply filters to make a selfie look amazing with a quick push of a button.

Where does that leave you?

Feeling frustrated about the time and effort you are wasting creating photography that doesn't sell enough..

Of course, you could always learn the ins and outs of Senior Photography at a workshop or convention...

However, that comes with its own set of problems:

➡️ Time and money with travel, hotel, dining, and that's if large conventions will even be able to be held in the future?

Look, I love going to conventions and holding in-person workshops. There’s nothing that can beat face to face interactions, seeing that “light bulb moment” when a photographer learns something new and the smell of a good trade show in the morning.

➡️ After you leave that convention, who has your back to answer questions or help you the rest of the year?

SU Insiders should not be seen as a replacement to workshops and seminars, but rather a year-round supplement to them.

Learning should never end!

Who Am I & How Do I Know All This?

Hi, I'm Dan Frievalt M.Photog, M.Artist, CR, and I was once in your shoes.

Since 2005, I've been an award-winning professional photographer who specializes in High School Seniors.

I have been a keynote speaker around the country for several state and national photography conventions including Imaging USA, SYNC (Senior Youth National Conference), After Dark Education, SPI (Senior Portrait International), WPPI (Wedding and Portrait International), and Texas School for Professional Photographers.

Some personal accomplishments I'm proud of is being named Wisconsin Professional Photographer and Artist of the Year several times. My studio has also been named one of the Top 100 Studios in the Country. I have earned many awards including the Canon Par Excellence Award, Fuji Masterpiece Award, two ASP State Elite awards, PPA Platinum, Gold and Silver awards, and three Kodak Gallery Awards and have been selected to represent Team USA in the Photographic World Cup.

I have also founded Senior Unlocked, an educational site to help train photographers all about Senior Photography, which allows me to help other photographers succeed...just like you!

Over the years, I've experienced all the same frustrations you have when it comes to Senior Photography

Which is too bad, because I've also learned that creating images that stand out and are different is what makes or breaks a photographer...You can have the most amazing photos in the world, but if you can't convince people of their value, your business will fold.

It's depressing because up until now, you've only had a few options:

➡️ Attend a conference or workshop in person

➡️ Watch YouTube videos (don't even get me started on weeding through all the ads and bad content)

➡️ Ask questions in a Facebook group, which can be so confusing with all the different skill levels and advice that isn't always sound

The good news is that today, there's a better option!

...AND it's every bit as effective as in-person training, but much more affordable.....
