What is the Senior Image Spotlight?

Senior Image Spotlight is a curated image submission for photographers who photograph high school seniors.

  • This isn’t a public voting contest.
  • You submit your best senior images.
  • We review them and pick standout work to be featured for inspiration inside the Kickass Posing app and to be featured on Seniors Unlocked social media.

Senior Spotlight Categories

Images can be submitted in these categories for both male and female seniors: Nature, Urban, Sport, and Hobby.

Each image should fit one category. You may submit up to 5 images per category, you don’t have to enter every category, and images are judged individually (not as a set), so quality beats quantity.

How Images Are Selected?

Images are reviewed based on:
  • Strong posing
  • Clean composition
  • Lighting and expression
  • Overall impact

Selections are made by the Seniors Unlocked team.

  • Published in the Seniors Unlocked digital magazine
  • Spotlight Award Badge to share for Marketing
  • Highlighted on Seniors Unlocked social media accounts

Photographer Credit is always given.

 

Judging and Awards:

Images are reviewed within their category (Nature, Urban, Sport, and Hobby for both male and female seniors).
The Seniors Unlocked team will select a Top 10 for each category, and then choose one overall Grand Prize winner from those Top 10 selections. The Grand Prize winner receives $500.

Senior Image Spotlight Submission Guidelines:

 

  • Who can submit: Any photographer who photographs high school seniors.

  • Categories: Nature, Urban, Sport, and Hobby for both male and female seniors. Each image must fit one category.

  • How many images: Submit up to 5 images per category. You do not need to submit to every category.

  • Judging: Images are reviewed individually by the Seniors Unlocked team. No public voting.

  • File type: JPG.

  • Color space: sRGB.

  • Size: Recommended 3000px on the long edge, under 5MB per image.

  • Watermarks: No watermarks or photographer logos on your images. If your image is selected, you’ll be credited as the photographer.

  • File naming (required): YourName_FemaleUrban_01.jpg

    • Example: JohnWick_FemaleUrban_01.jpg

  • Permissions: Only submit images you have the right to share publicly (model permissions/releases as needed).
